Why this must be read: The episode "33" is fast becoming a touchstone in this fandom--it has not only inspired a lot of stories, it has even inspired some really *good* stories.anr's "Stimmed" is one of the best...
anr uses non-chronological story-telling to excellent effect here, imbuing the reader with a sense of jagged, over-whelming weariness. We are presented with a Galactica in which all the unimportant elements of life have dropped away. What remains are the essential aspects of Kara's character: her never-say-die approach to life, and her deepest (and usually better hidden) passions.
The confusion and bittersweet interaction we've come to expect between Kara and Lee are captured beautifully in this story.
