I'm terribly sorry I've been so bad at this. RL has been just a big black hole of suckage. But as proof of my repentance, I bring you girls! Touching! And stuff. This one's by C Elisa, whose prose is always smooth and cool as water. And there's lost Storm, wanting Rogue, small cabins, drifting hope, and girls! Touching!
Then she drew away, folded into herself to protect Storm from the danger of an accidental touch. No one would want that, she had said-to touch her and be absorbed, to fall into a living death. Storm had startled her by holding out her hand.
