Why this must be read:

If I look closely enough, the major reason I love the idea of Kara & Lee is because they're tough, battered and broken -- as people and as a couple -- as friends, lovers, or some twisted version in the middle.

At the same time, I love fic that tries to explore what their history before the reunion on the Big G just before the attacks. There's a lot of open ground there to explore, and I love the take that voleuse takes on it in Circle Round Again. As they exist in this story, there never was a blissful, golden past. It was always turbulent, passionate, combative.

With her spare and powerful style voleuse manages to wrap up a world of endings...of beginnings. This is a story that is neither happy, nor sad, it just exists, very much like Lee and Kara and all the rest are trying to do.
