Why this must be read:
I had to rec this story that focuses on Drusilla and Tara because I love both those characters, and this story was such a bracing relief when I read it: femslash that satisfied, character exploration that worked, a what-if that made sense.
It's also kinda-sorta songfic, and this is an excellent example of using lyrics like poems, tribute instead of derivation.
