Why this MUST be read:
This has to be one of the most disturbing tales in the entire Faramir/Boromir known fic-verse. It is a dark!fic rendering of the relations between the two brothers, their father Denethor, and a bastard son of Denethor's, written convincingly as an OMC. The psychological twists never seem to stop coming. There is incest (yeah, a given), rape, bloodletting, murder and....damn it's dark. But the slash! OMG the slash! Combined with KC's exceptional writing and you have fantastic fic that you must read. The sex is hot, the plot is evil, and you will NEVER guess the conclusion. I think she's chanelling "Othello" at times, as the beauty of the language and the evilness of man are so intertwined in this fic. When you read only the first chapter of the four in this tale, you will agree with me that every single member of Denethor's family, the House of Hurin, is possessed of secrets; some you may suspect, but others you will not believe. Here's a taste from chapter one:
There were several years of difference in their ages, but at such times the division felt much smaller. Boromir had heard tales of unborn twins who clawed and fought each other in the womb. As he wrestled and clutched to enter his brother, it occurred to Boromir that those unborn brethren had not been fighting to demand their share of tenuous life, but to claim each other.
Such slow, delicious friction as he pushed in. He didn't get to do this enough and he had missed it sorely. He knew Faramir had missed it as well, judging from the way he arched his back and let his eyes flutter closed in pleasure, lips parted invitingly.
Watching him in the candlelight, Boromir smiled wolfishly. Ah, my father, you may loathe my cuddlesome brother but I cannot get enough of him.
