Why this must be read:
I'm going to stick withalinewrites for another rec because, well, you just can't go wrong with Aline. Frankly, deciding which story to pick is the hard part. I could spend the rest of the month working my way through her Web page, rec'ing each fic. But I'll make a tough choice (and leave the rest for you to check out).
This one's fairly short (but certainly not sweet). I like the premise of it (I have a similar universe in mind for my next rec) and the heat of it. For example:
"C'mon," he says, his lips fluttering over the guy's mouth, not quite a kiss, not quite a caress, his hands still on the man's arms, their breaths melting, their eyes locked; the other's drunk enough to dare, and Chris finally makes the move, cautious not to frighten but too aroused to resist any longer, trapping the man between the wall and his body, his hands coming to shaking shoulders, stilling them."
