Why this must be read: I’ve always found it hard getting into OC stories, simply because if the character has never been seen on the show, it’s hard to really care about them. This fic is very, very much the exception – it shows a side of life on the Galactica that is so plausible that it hurts. A lot. And like everything Karen writes, the fic itself is smooth, polished, and packs an emotional punch.
