After making a devastating decision that alienates him from the Scoobies, Xander must cope with life as a lone geek, with only his girl Anya by his side. Somewhat depressed and lonely, he grudgingly accepts an offer from Jonathan to join a little D&D game he has going with these two other guys, Warren and Andrew. The four form a loose bond, and when Xander discovers that Buffy's out of town, he decides to take charge of Sunnydale defense with these magically-inclined losers. Together, they form a team with a mission to save Sunnydale: The Quartet.

Airawyn crafts a wholly believable AU Season 6 from a very simple idea: what if the Geek Trio had strong, benevolent leadership to start with? The characters are all very much themselves. Jonathan just wants good friends, Warren schemes to undermine Xander's authority, and Andrew will take the easiest side in any given conflict.

If you like the Trio, you have to read this fic. It's the wacky Indiana Jones adventure they never went on but totally should have. Airawyn is brilliant with characters and she has a knack for hilarious geek dialogue. Plus, Spike does wedding planning. How can you go wrong?
