X-Men

Post a comment below to take a turn pimping either or both the Comicverse and Movieverse X-Men fandoms!

A week in advance of your assigned month you will be notified with a reply to your comment. During that time, you agree to post a minimum of 1 fic per week in the following format:

Subject: Title by Author (Rating)

Fandom: YOUR FANDOM
Pairing: (no abbreviations, please)
Author on LJ: (if applicable)
Author Website: (author's fics, if available)
Why this must be read:

Emphasis should be on fics that you feel are especially outstanding and accessible examples of your fandom, e.g. it plays on a repeated theme in the show, it's a fandom or a personal favourite, it was a controversial fic, it's good smut. Whatever.

Warnings are not required beyond what the author has posted on their own stories.

Thanks for playing and remember, kids! Without you, the [livejournal.com profile] crack_van will run out of gas!!

Hi, I'd be glad to take a turn at reccing some X-Men comicverse. :-) March would be a better month for me, but I could probably manage February if needed.

Ahh, yes, and if you'd like to e-mail me, I check my aliased 'username@livejournal.com' account fairly regularly, so please, feel free to contact me there. :-)

I'll take a month. I think April is up for grabs, right? Good, that gives me time to come up with stuff that I haven't read in a while :) ::goes to dig through comicverse sites::

Well, I can do May if no one else can, I suppose.

I'd be up for X-Men comicverse again in August or beyond.

I've been wondering, though - would it be OK for me to do a month of recs for Ultimate X-Men stories? It's set in a different universe, but they're still X-Men comics, and there's a lot of overlap in terms of both readership and people who write in the fandom.

Re: Crack Van - July?

[personal profile] andraste 2004-06-29 09:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Er... would you actually be available for July?

Sure - email me at andraste@bigpond.com as before *g*.

And I don't mind stories in a peripheral universe, but you should be clear in your rec that that's the case, and give whatever additional info is needed for someone to understand the fic.

I'll put in continuity notes, same as I did with my Farscape recs. There's not much to know with Ultimate X-Men, since the series has less than fifty issues to date. It's much easier to understand than regular comic continuity *g*.
