Why this must be read:
Joie is one of those authors who can write exeptionally develeoped characters. And this story is really strong on the details. This is like the ultimate comfort fic for me. It's not schmoopy or anything, just quiet and soft and wanting. It's set during the time Justin is recording his solo album and it's just gorgeously written.
Justin found out years ago that JC knows how to and likes to knit. When JC was in grade school, he wasn't ever afraid of the dark like other kids, he was afraid of the light. JC didn't know he could pee standing up until the fourth grade. And when JC was a toddler, he once peed in the family cat's litter box.
Justin still doesn't understand how JC sleeps twelve hours a night when not on tour, but can survive on four if he needs to. JC needs three cups of coffee on those days.
