Why this must be read:
Sometimes you read a story that is so true to the characters, you can almost convince yourself that's what really happened in canon. Set between the end of 510 and the middle of 511, it's a look at Brian and Justin that's so perfect, it makes my heart ache a little. It's the moments between the moments, as the author says, and they are sometimes the most important ones of all.
He learns forward to unlock the door for you, though, and kisses you on the cheek, closer to your mouth than your ear but not quite. You can't remember if he's ever done that before, because Brian doesn't waste a lot of time on affection that doesn't have sex behind it, and somehow this makes the swipe of his lips against your skin and his hasty withdrawal feel more intimate than half of all the ways he's fucked you.
