Why this must be read:
Every once in a while, I like stories that offer something a little different--not, perhaps, in terms of writing or style or characterization, but in how the entire 'verse is approached. Normal, for me, is such a story because it's written from an outsider's point of view. It is, in fact, a very "normal" story, about a girl who is falling in love with her best friend...and who worries what that will mean, if she says anything. Sure, there are vampires and demons and magic out there--but this story is about something far more commonplace, and perhaps, even a little scarier.
