Why this must be read: It's one of the best stories written in the Birthday 'verse and one of my all-time favorite fics. (The Birthday verse is the series alternative canon where Cordelia becomes a famous actress and Angel suffers from visions.) The fic documents the full relationship of Gunn and Wesley from the moment they meet. The author fully develops and explores issues surrounding sexuality, race, disabilities, working in a supernatural world, and taking care of a crazy Angel. Don't let the novel length put you off, it's well worth the read.
