Why this must be read: There are consequences for a Took's wandering lips and uses for a Took's scarves. This is about as dark as a pre-quest hobbitpile sex romp gets, which is just dark enough to be very hot.
"You didn't just talk to Stella yesterday, did you, Pip?" Frodo's mouth was so close to Pippin's ear that his lips brushed against it as he spoke. Pippin almost jumped at the surprise of it - and then did jump when Frodo - oh, when Frodo took the lobe between his bright sharp teeth and nipped gently, then let it go again and licked. "Merry's very upset, you know," Frodo confided quietly. "He thinks you're going to leave us for Stella, or one of the other girls."
Pippin was wide-awake again at that, all thought of his growing need gone, not even Frodo's clever mouth enough to distract him. "But Frodo, I wouldn't!" he cried. Merry couldn't really think that, could he? "I'd never - I love you and Merry, Stella was just - " Oh, and that must have been what was making Merry sound so funny before! He had to explain -
"Shh, Pip," Frodo whispered, tracing a calming hand across Pippin's chest, pressing him back to the bed. Pippin hadn't even realised he'd tried to sit up. His shoulders were going to be very sore tomorrow. "I know that, but Merry doesn't, the silly goose, and he's all tied up in knots about it. So you're going to show him, all right, Pip?"
"Show him?" Pippin frowned. Wasn't he always showing Merry that he loved him? It was practically all he did. But if Frodo said it would fix things, he would certainly try. Then he thought of something and yanked awkwardly against his bonds. "But I can't... how can I, with - "
Frodo chuckled into his ear. Pippin found himself enjoying the feeling of warm breath tickling him, despite everything. Frodo was distracting like that. "Don't worry, Pippin. I'm going to help. He just needs to be reminded that we love him, and all will be well. You'll see."
