Measured Out in Coffee Spoons by David Hines (adult)
Fandom: DCU
Pairing: none
Author on LJ:

Author Website: FF.net profile
Why this must be read:
A first person POV fic that does it right. Information isn't held back to annoy the reader, but because the narrator doesn't know it. When the information unfolds to you, it comes too fast, and you wish it was held back When the narrator discovers the information he's missing, you'll wish he could un-know it too.
This fic isn't a one note, "surprise!" fic, though. It's about taking responsibility and being responsible, about forgiveness of self and others, and about what is unforgivable.
As a final note, this story is so fabulous that I ventured into the Pit of Voles to find it, an endorsement the strength of which I hope is evident.
Measured Out in Coffee Spoons
I hope you let the author know what you think of this.
