Why this must be read:
This is Frodo/Sam slash, but mostly from Lobelia's point of view. Tiriel uses description well, so you can imagine the garden of Bag End full of beautiful, colourful flowers. Lobelia, being so jealous of the flowers, is clueless enough not to guess what Sam and Frodo are up to.
What I really like about this story is that Tiriel doesn't use very many words to tell us exactly what's going on, mostly it can be worked out from Frodo's thoughts, Sam's whispers and Lobelia's observations. Even though it's NC-17 it's still quite subtle.
