Some Long Lost Rockwell by Julian Lee (R-ish)

Why this must be read: There was just something about the little birthday cake scene in "Rites of Passage" that said "family" and that may have spawned one hundred femmeslash fics but I think this one is the one that says it the way it should be said. Julian writes the characters as desperate and scared and clinging to each other like life support. It's a gorgeous extension of the passion you see in these women onscreen. And then there's that whole Rockwell image that it conjures. This is gorgeous and powerful writing. And if you dance a tarantella, Julian might just write you another one (thanks Julian!).
