Why this must be read:I never thought I'd read a story that could make me not hate Geraldine Mathers but this manages it. The circumstances that bring her back into the world of CI5 are well done and she doesn't make a drastic character change but rather slowly alters her initial impressions. I liked that. The relationship between Bodie and Cowley isn't one that normally works for me but, in the context of this story, is believable, if not actually vital for the story to work.
