Why this must be read:
Christmas is almost gone here in Australia, but before it's over I thought I'd make a seasonally appropriate recommendation. If you're looking for sappy holiday fic, you won't find it here. If you're looking for one of the most heartbreaking stories in the fandom, you've found it.
It's a beautiful piece, and I'm always especially impressed with the way Kaylee captured the commonalities between Cyclops and Jubilee. To say anything more would spoil it, but if I were you I'd have a tissue or two handy.
