Why this must be read: DC comics often brings the tangled, twisted relationships-- but if there is a pure BFF OTP in DC, it's Dick/Roy. Dick and Roy have known each other since boyhood, when Dick was Batman's sidekick and Roy was Green Arrow's. Both orphans with complicated, sometimes distant relationships to their mentors, they turned to each other and their fellow Teen Titans for support, becoming something close to family. Now Roy is leading a team of his own; he has old loyalties, new responsibilities, and a family of his own to take care of. Somehow, though, despite it all, he still manages to try and reach out to Dick. This story is a lovely, quick-moving portrait of just who Roy is, and just who he tries to be.
