And now for something completely different for the last day of the month (which caught me unawares).

This is pure comedy, written for the Jarriere ficathon, and from his point of view. Jarriere is telling his story to the reader over a drink or two.

We were on the road again, inspecting a bunch of travelling entertainers. That’s what I spent my time doing in those days, inspecting entertainers. You can scoff. Security was very tight. You never knew if this bunch or the next would turn out to be the bunch of lunatic terrorists who blew up the President.

I suspect they were. Jarriere is dumped in a vat of ice-cream during a failed assassination attempt, and that's just the start. What do the circus performers have to hide from the President?

I just want to know which one Tarrant was: the Bearded Lady, the Strongest Man in the Galaxy, or the Tarsian Warg-Strangler.
