Hi BSG fanfic followers. I'm Karen, and I'll be your BSG driver for the month. RL has put on a serious crimp on my fanfic reading time, so I'm woefully behind when it comes to recent fic. Consequently, most of my recs will be "oldies" that were written during S1. Hopefully I can point out a gem or two you might have missed back when they were originally posted. Enjoy.

Pairing: Kara/various others, but it's really pairing-less in my eyes.

Why this must be read: One of the things I love most about BSG is how Kara's always pushing the envelope, seeing how far she can push herself and others as she struggles with life post-the Cylon attack.prillalar's "Arithmetic" does a wonderful job portraying just that as it depicts a raw, uncensored Kara in only 500 words (and with a nifty arithmetic theme).
And still the thoughts come crawling into her brain, under her skin, buzzing and clicking against her bones. When it gets too loud, Kara finds a boy, a good healthy one, and pulls him into an access corridor and rides him for as long as he'll last. The sweat, the grunts, the skin scraping skin: sex is white noise for Kara and it keeps her mind blank for hours afterwards.
