Why this must be read:
As every good fanfiction writer/reader knows, the stories don't end just because canon does. "Made of Breath and Wind" takes place some small time after Highlander's series finale, as Methos and Amanda go about their lives. It's a simple piece - "Methos and Amanda do lunch" could serve as a summary - but it also involves lost and absent friends, and the benefits and costs of having Immortals for your family. A little bittersweet, a little bit comforting.

Wow!!! Great Rec ... It's been a long time since I've read anything in this fandom and even longer when I've bothered with gen but your summary touched a cord. I'm glad it did as the story was devine. Thanks for drawing it to my attention. I'm moving it to my favorites file. It's something to think on for quite a while.
