Why this must be read: Actually, this story is the closest to a crossover that I'm going to come to reccing this month...It's another AU and almost crossover-ish, but not quite. The challenge was to write a character waking up as a vampire, and Dark Emerald nailed it. River stays River, but eerily so. She'd be very comfortable sitting down with Spike and Angelus in her new state. It's short, to the point, and not a word wasted.
