This is my favorite story in the Methos and Kronos Journals collection. It's a lighthearted story of Methos and Kronos, master jewel thieves. It has action, great Methos-Kronos interaction, humor, and numerous moments that make me grin delightedly and fondly and absolutely love these boys.
"She has three servants, plus a footman for the coach-"
"And the coachman."
"Er - no." Kronos looked away out to sea. "He had an accident. Terribly unfortunate. I don't for the life of me know how it happened-"
"Kronos..."
"Hey, if he can't keep his balance it's not my fault. He tripped, and my sword just happened to be in the way. I didn't like him anyway."
