After three days, Sam can't take it anymore. "What is your problem, Dr. Jackson?" She uses her commanding voice. Daniel is taken aback, and she sees him for a moment as the Daniel he has always been. Softly, she adds, "You blame me for what happened to Vala, don’t you?"

Daniel looks confused, because he wasn't talking about Vala; he was talking about Mitchell. "No," he says, automatically. "Yes. Maybe."
