Why this must be read: There are some authors I love despite myself. Rhys is one. I fell into Popslash because a friend was determined to give me the gift of happiness when my life was awful low. Pretty Dancing Boys seemed just about perfect. But Rhys rarely writes happy fics and The Wednesday Thing is a monument to life's pains. It is starkly revealing and hauntingly truthful - almost too much so. It is through Rhys I feel in love with Chris Kirkpatrick. It is through The Wednesday Thing & Lucy Hale's Ultraviolet that I've gotten to know him. There are great stories on Rhys' site, I rec all of them, but for something different, painful and real, try The Wednesday Thing. If nothing else, you'll get some great meals out of it. ;)
