Why this must be read:
Technically this is a crossover with the movie Good King Wenceslaus, but since it takes place before the movie and Coyote made up all the back story, it doesn't feel like one.
Mirror has always been one of my favorite Coyote fics – it's one of the stories that made me love Kronos. This Kronos is mellower, more charming, and more at peace—though no less intense—than the one in the show. And Coyote keeps him in character. This is how Kronos could be without the anger and desperate need for the old ways.
The writing is excellent, Pavel is quite endearing, and the easy camaraderie between Pavel and Kronos is wonderful. And it's clonesex (Valentine Pelka played Brother Paul) – Horseman!Kronos and Priest!Kronos? So hot.
