I admit to having ulterior motives with this rec, but it's splendid in its own right, using potions, charms and a mutual love of quiddich to show another side of the Lily/Snape relationship that might have been. Lily gets whacked in the breast with a bludger and turns to Snape to keep it from happening again. Didodikali's style of illustrated fanfic is a wonderful treat; I'd highly recommend wandering her site for more fantastic illustrated HP fics.

And now, the dastardly ulterior motive: a quick out-of-fandom rec. While you're perusing Didodikali's site, read Four Minutes. You do not have to know a thing about Escaflowne to enjoy it; I'm completely ignorant of the fandom. But the story is so brilliantly written and drawn, once you read it you'll come back to it over and over.
