Rearrangement, by Villainny (G)

First off, hi, I'm Katie, I'm doing Good Omens this month. Hello! *waves* If you aren't familiar with the canon, do check out the overview. I've got some of the best writing it's ever been my pleasure to rec for you this month, and it'd be a shame to miss out. [/pimp]

Fandom: GOOD OMENS
Pairing: Crowley/Aziraphale
Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] villainny
Author Website: nope, though writing journal is [livejournal.com profile] unseen_writings
Why this must be read:

[livejournal.com profile] villainny is a stalwart of Good Omens fandom, and this fic is one of the best examples of why. This is deceptively smart, while also being very funny and cute and not even slightly patronising. Very much like the canon in that respect, actually- which is a good thing, since this is one of the most canonical stories I've ever seen in GO fandom. It's brimming with references to the book, but more importantly, it feels like it. The style, the tone, the language... Nny's grasp of GO canon in that respect is just about the best I've ever seen. I also particularly like that, like in the book, she lets the characters speak for themselves, without needing huge overblown dramatic moments spelling out what the characters think and feel. Um, unless you count the Apocalypse, which I don't. Heh.

And that's why I feel no guilt whatsoever over starting off with a rec for somebody I consider a dear friend. She really is that good, despite her protestations. Go and enjoy!

::grinning:: I'm off to read it, and thank you, but you need to update the fandom to show Good Omens -- right now, it reads Master & Commander. (Feel free to delete this after, if you like.)
