Why this must be read: SG1 is stranded on a planet with no Stargate and no means of escape. Without access to tretonin, Teal'c dies fairly quickly, leaving the human members of the team to fend for themselves and create a new life. It's quite slow; Brighid is careful in developing the new dynamic and the plodding sexual relationship that emerged after a long time. It's a wonderful combination of bleak and hopeful. Plus there is a little porn, a little fluff, a little angst and just...emotion that is delightful. Perfect mix.
