Why this must be read: The death of Dr. Fraiser near the end of season seven was one of the most useless deaths on the show. This fic is the ultimate "Heroes" fix-it with intricate plot that's also very emotionally compelling. The Sam/Janet relationship just flows so easily you'll swear that it should be what really happened on the show. It's sweet without being fluffy and angsty without being melodramatic.
