Call Me by Maygra (NC 17)
Hi! I'm TrueEnough. I'm thrilled to be able to rec for my very favorite gunslingers this month. I love Chris/Vin Slash but I have more than a few stories in line that veer into Gen and uh, third party lovefests. All of the stories, however, are exceptionally well written. My gratitude to all of the authors.
Fandom: THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN ~ Modern Day AU
Pairing: Chris/Vin
Author on LJ:
maygra
Author Website: Maygra's Musings
Why this must be read:
Call Me begins with a late night phone call that prompts both Chris and Vin to look at each other in a new light. Maygra has a great ear for how normally taciturn men try - and sometimes fail - to say what they really mean and also for showing how hard-bitten men can bring out such deliberate tenderness in one another.
"I got it," Vin said, moving finally, getting to his feet.
"Faster with two." Chris didn't argue with him, only spread the halved sheet, tucking it around the sofa cushions.
"Mother," Vin muttered and Chris smiled again as he spread the blanket. "Gonna tuck me in?"
"I might. Need anything?"
Vin shook his head, laying down, hunting for a comfortable spot and then settled and Chris did tuck him in -- or close to it. "Thanks," Vin murmured, eyes meeting Chris' when Chris crouched.
