The Peerless Patience of Obi-Wan Kenobi by Ladyjaida (R)

Fandom: STAR WARS PT
Pairing: Obi-Wan Kenobi/Qui-Gon Jinn
Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] ladyjaida

Why this must be read:

One of the most lyrical extrapolations of canon I have ever read, the writer's prose vibrates and rolls off the page. Jaida pieces together Obi-Wan's perspective on loss, waiting, and what exactly can be held onto over time.

Obi-Wan was rather of the mind that he wasn't capable of inflicting change on his master no matter how quiet and small it was. In fact, Obi-Wan had come to learn, the quieter and smaller the change, the more important it proved. He'd thought about it until he'd wrapped it into knots while it knotted him. It was all internal and personal, Obi-Wan seventeen and a world of changing and buffeted about and testing himself too in order to find his own decisive unflinching core. It was Obi-Wan changing again.
