In this set, I've decided to go with some of the classics of SGA fandom, as well as a few very recent stories. Even so, winnowing down the choices was really hard, as I have over 600 SGA recs on my personal rec comm. Atlantis really is the fandom that keeps on giving...

Why this must be read: I can't believe I get to rec this story! It was one of the very first classics of the fandom, and it still stands up amazingly well. Beautifully written, wonderfully characterised, and topped off with hot, hot, hot sex. Who can ask for anything more?

Not only Intersections! That's why I decided to rec some of the classics. They are not in the Van's memories, and that is just so wrong. *shakes head sadly* Go have a look, and boggle as I boggled... sga memories on the van (http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=crack_van&keyword=Stargate+Atlantis+Fanfic+Recs&filter=all).

Of course, on the plus side, my rec set is solid gold. :)

Seriously, it was hard to pick just 12 stories for the set, even though I tried to make them by authors who aren't widely known already (because popular writers like astolat and seperis and cesperanza and rageprufrock, to name but four, have all written wonderful SGA classics that haven't yet been recced on the van). I really do have over 600 SGA recs at rec_room, and 20 or 30 of them are as good as Intersections. The fandom is that good!

You have so much fantastic fic in your future. I've loved many fandoms in my time, but SGA has the most amazing spread of writers I've ever come across.
