Why this must be read:
For my last rec, I wanted to go for something truly unusual, something most people would never read in a million years. HP fandom tends to focus on the current students or the Marauders. Old people shouldn't think about sex and romance, it's gross. This story puts paid to that idea with a quiet romance Jane Austen would be proud of and an explanation of why Dumbledore said he saw socks in the mirror of Erised.
Thus, I am "calling your bluff," as it were. As you may have surmised, this package contains a pair of socks. What color they are will depend on you -- in fact you gave me the idea. If you love me, the socks will be emerald green; if you do not, they will be purple.
