Why this must be read:
It took me a while to warm to Nathan, frankly. Poor guy just doesn't tend to get as big a role as a lot of the other guys. He and Josiah end up being the serious ones of the bunch, especially in the modern AUs. Plus, once I got hooked on Ezra, I kept running into the damnable stereotype of the two Southerners being at odds. And that's not entirely true -- they're on the same team, and they argue, have different points of view, but they are still friends, or teammates, what have you. So it's always wonderful and refreshing to find a good story that shows that side of Nathan -- He might not agree 100% with Ezra's beliefs, or Buck & JD's shenanigans, but once they fall on their asses, he's there to pick them up.
This story is nice and introspective, which is something I'd love to see more of in this fandom.
