Why this must be read: The first of the To Make of Heaven Heart series. Long and involved and with a very interesting plot. Set in the ATF Alternate Universe. A fantastic approach to the characters through some dark themes (please, read the author’s notes). An intense exploration of the relationship between Chris and Vin and just gorgeous in every aspect. Not one you want to miss.




Awareness came slowly, filling Chris Larabee's senses as the early dawn light filled the room. The light washed through the dark green blinds, shafting sunlight across the walls and floor and bed in regular patterns, weaving warmth and light together in a subtle glow that was as gentle as a morning kiss. He shifted to his side as a slender bar of light started to brush across his eyes, not quite ready to get to the "shine" part of "rise and... "

A couple of the many things that I love about Maygra's work is that she keeps the characters completely masculine and gives them a quiet and effortless sense of humor - and makes it look easy. It really is a great exploration of a new relationship and connection being tested by the life they live.

I agree, I think it is awesome how she simply presents them as they are, as we see in the show, very male and still very in love.
