Random gender-swapping is pretty commonplace in this fandom. Jim Gordon gender-swap... not so much, which is why this story is such a treat.
Female!Jim is about as grimly, determinedly macho as you'd expect in this situation, and the Renee Montoya POV is absolutely inspired.
