Ever wonder what the Highlander episode Revelation 6:8 would be like if it were directed by the Marquis de Sade? MacGeorge does a masterful job of knitting together canon with an extremely violent sex scenario. Her story starts with canon; Kronos has sent Silas and Caspian after MacLeod, MacLeod has killed Caspian, and Silas has returned to the Horsemen's lair. Unlike canon, Silas returns with MacLeod, now the Horsemen's prisoner. Kronos decides to break down MacLeod through sexual torture until Kronos can remake MacLeod into the new Fourth Horseman.

Brothers Under the Skin is a story of heroic endurance and difficult recovery, with the complex relationship between Methos and MacLeod integral to both parts. It's very dark and very violent, and if that pushes your buttons, then this story should push them hard.

I just can't belive this hasn't been rec'd already!

I remember the first time I read this story...*stares off into space*

oh umm...sorry about that, I really just love this story...I think I've read it atleast a hundrd times...it's definatly a story i come back to when i'm in *that* kind of mood.

I've read every Highlander story that MacGeorge has written (and I generally love her work), save for this one. The warnings keep scaring me off, big chicken that I am. Maybe I'll finally take the plunge, especially given this rec and the one from Anonymous up above :)
