sabaceanbabe and I’ll be your driver this month for BSG 2003. Contrary to popular belief, I’m not all about Helo all the time, thus I’ll be reccing fics with lots of different characters and pairings and themes. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did and still do. :)

Why this must be read:
This piece is fairly short at just over 600 words, but, like the TARDIS (yes, I know, wrong fandom), it’s bigger on the inside than the outside seems to indicate. Doc Cottle is a stereotypical crusty curmudgeon, except that he’s not. We haven’t yet been privileged to see the world from his eyes so much in canon, but in this fic, we not only see the world from his eyes, but we get to feel it from his heart. The good doctor has a jaded point of view and a prickly-at-best bedside manner, but he knows how to heal. When Laura Roslin comes to him for help, though, there’s really nothing he can do. His science fails him, as so many things have in his life. Spoilers for season 2’s Flight of the Phoenix.
