Why this must be read:
A mixture of the grounded and the surreal, as befits a fic that includes Leoben Conoy as one of its stars, Falling is full of backstory for and insight into Kara Thrace. With the same disjointed feel as the episode Maelstrom, this fic will draw you in and leave you wondering and wanting more. Not to mention keep you thinking about it long after you’ve finished reading.
Falling is like flying but she can't control the direction. The landing hurts but the flight is beautiful while it lasts--the arc of forward and downward motion.
Things fall at different rates. She knows this is emotionally true, not scientifically. She's falling ahead of her anger, faster than her fear.
