Why this must be read:
It’s got Dr. Eli Stoddard as a whiny idiot, riding his gasping alpaca and demanding that Blair berate the Mexican guides, and Blair telling the guides to drink Stoddard’s beer instead. It’s got Jim asking, "Chief, want to be Jim's new lookout-buddy?” It’s got Inchara referring to Richard Burton as Great-Great-Uncle Dick. What more could one want?
