Crack Van Holiday

Phil and I have decided to take the month of October as a much needed holiday; posting will resume on November 1st. In the meantime, please sign up to rec in all your fandoms - we could not keep the van running without your help.

Please also let me know here if there is interest in making December Small Fandom Month again this year. It was a lot of fun last year, but I want to make sure we would have plenty of reccers for another round.

I just want to say, good for you, for taking time off. And thank you so much for the service you bring us, all the hard work you put into this. This is truly where I find "the good stuff" for all my fandoms. Without this comm, I'd be wading through a lot of crap to find the occasional, rare diamond.

Far better to take a vacation than burn out, I've found. Because it'll be hard enough to bear a month without my favourite LJ group, to lose the crack van for good is too horrible to contemplate.

So have a wonderful time off, and I hope you find people to help you so you can take future vacations more often.

As for the small fandom month, much to my surprise I really enjoyed it last time around. And it's an excellent way to ensure people don't have to wait too long in that volunteer line-up.
