That's a good point, though I'm not sure it's ever fully explained why he's so poor. They just don't give us much (read: enough) about Jin in general (yes, I'm a Jin-girl. But then I'm also a Mugen-girl and a Fuu-girl. My Champloo fannish glee knows no boundaries:) I'll modify the overview to reflect this.
