This is a really fun story with some brilliant insights into Danny and Rusty and Linus, and the complex relationship amongst the three of them, and a sharp, spot-on Linus voice. And the ending is hilarious.

It’s also important to correct a common misunderstanding about Rusty’s heart. It is not now or ever has been in the possession of Danny Ocean. Linus would never ever steal from Danny. That would just be wrong. Danny might occasionally borrow Rusty’s heart and jump up and down on it a few times in the same way that he might borrow Rusty’s car or drink from Rusty’s glass, or take food from Rusty’s plate, or how he always touched him, and you know, there was appropriate work place behavior and he was pretty sure that Danny didn’t follow it and there had been an important point somewhere and Linus had lost it, but he wants it understood that he loves Danny because it’s really not possible not to love Danny and also because Rusty does and there’s no way he’s ever going to steal Rusty’s heart if he doesn’t love Danny even if the only person Danny ever truly loved was himself.

There. He’d said it.

Danny was an egotistical jerk who was totally in love with himself. Of course, if Linus had dared to say that to Danny’s face, Danny would probably just laugh and say something about how there was no one else really worth loving.
