Sorry to bug you, Shaggy, but what would you call SPN RPS? Would you group that under the CW RPS tent, or would it stand on its own?

Ack. That's a very loaded question. I know for a fact that my number one choice (Life on Mars - did the 'van for December, know the territory) is rich in good fic (We could, easily, sustain at least twelve months full time, and most probably more), but, ultimately, doomed on the reccers. And looking at the responses, there's call for recs.

My question, I suppose, is how the heck do you get volunteers...

Oh, and I edit to thank you so much for the continued service you do for fandom as a whole. The number of fandoms I've found good fic out of, just from here is... most appreciated. Thank you.

When I started I personally posted to a number of fandoms all-purpose discussion communities and/or gave their newsletters editors a heads up to get things rolling, but we don't have the time to do that on an on-going basis. We hope that some enthusiastic representative will do that on their fandom's behalf. ;)

In the past we have required a minimum of 8 initial reccers to get a fandom up full-time. If you can guarantee that for Life on Mars, then I think we could get it going.

I think if you combined some fandoms, you might get more reccers together for a full-time fandom. For instance, combine Buffy and Angel into one sign-up and have everyone identify their recs as either Buffy or Angel when they post them. Same thing with Star Trek, CSI, Stargate (if necessary), etc.

I listed Anime which isn't technically a single fandom, but people who read one anime fandom tend to read all (and while there are few fandoms that have enough for full-time reccing, as a whole, Anime is *huge*).

Not a fandom rec per se -- but would it be possible to add a line to the description for Length.

There are times when I want to read some fandom but I don't have the time or inclination to read a 200K+ epic. And other times when I don't want something brief. It would help me find a good fic for the moment and make my visits much more staisfying.

I can't be the only one who thinks this.
