Why this must be read:

This should be read because it is an absolutely hilarious way to tell a classic trope of fanfiction. Bart realizes he is gay, and has to talk it over with someone. He picks Kon-El, much to the horror of Kon (who is a tremendously awesome friend here anyway, despite his confusion) and the joy of the audience. What really makes this work is that Kon and Bart are really recognizable as themselves and the humor just highlights everything that is wonderful about the DC comic universe.

Bart smiled, apparently glad for the attention. "So I decided to tell the team, because of the total disclosure policy and stuff and especially since I had no evil secret of my own except stealing Gar's underwear and that was only kind of evil, but anyway, I went there this week-end, and I wait for everyone to be seated for lunch, and I decide to slip the announcement all casual like, and I ask Cyborg to pass the lasagna to a homosexual at this table ..."

"Oh, boy."

"... and he passed the lasagna to Gar and there was this huge scene, and Gar started yelling, and Cassie tried to calm him down, and he made a lesbian crack about Amazons and then Cassie started screaming, and strangling him, and the others tried to separate them, and it turned into this huge fight, so I decided to rethink my plan and I left."

There was a small perverse part of Kon - which he totally blamed on the Luthor genes - who was idly wondering how to retrieve the record of that scene from the tower's security logs.
