Today's pop-kink is blood play, but let me tell you a little about the author first. Lucy is a master at packing a lot of punch into a few words. And, she is always tempting me into reading pairings that I think I'm not interested in--and then she makes me want so much more of them.
So, it shouldn't have surprised me that she took a kink that I didn't really care to read about and gave me just a taste, just a suggestion of the kink's appeal. There's no sex here, but suddenly I want it. I want to see what Chris and Joey do with their new awareness of each other, an awareness that arose from a split and bloody lip.
Please give this fic a try (and shower the author with feedback). The blood play is not scary. It's nothing more than a kiss, but oh, what a kiss. I think it's one of the hottest kisses I've ever read.
