Why this must be read: As far as I'm concerned, "Becoming" was the best season finale of any series ever. Post-"Becoming" fanfics are consequently some of the best fan fiction this fandom has produced, my favorite of this sub-genre being this trilogy by Gail Christison. The series is Giles-centric, but all the characters are touched upon and drawn well.
